5 Reasons to use a Financial Adviser/Mentor

Recently I was asked if all financial advisers do is give advice on shares. There is so much more a great adviser can do for you. To start with a Financial Plan that is regulary reviewed can provide you with a number of key outcomes. Here are 5 reasons to use a Financial Adviser/Mentor that don’t mention shares or investment returns:

  • Reassurance you are on the right track financially or be told the whole truth and shown the way to address any problems
  • Reduced financial stress – you know you have a plan
  • Understand and be prepared for the lifestyle you can lead now and in the future
  • Be empowered to make choices and understand the implications of various choices
  • Have someone to keep you accountable

  1. Great summary of some key issues for longer-term investors to understand: Advisers would do well to emphasise these points during the advice delivery process as well as during the sales process.

  2. Yes, I agree there is not enough time spent discussing these key benefits. Typically advisers haven’t been good at communicating them either.

  3. I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own blog and was curious what all is needed to get set up? I’m assuming
having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny?
I’m not very web smart so I’m not 100% positive. Any
suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks
